Summer Work Travel promotes a better understanding of the world through interpersonal exchanges that build bridges between cultures and nations based on mutual respect and lasting friendships.

This program offers a life-changing cultural exchange experience. The successful applicant will learn and enhance important skills, establish long-lasting connections with people from all over the world, and discover daily life in America!

They will learn about the lives of others and discover new aspects of themselves as they assume greater responsibility during their visit to the United States.

To qualify for short-term employment, no prior job experience is necessary. GX personnel can find a job opportunity that will match your interests!

Must be a full-time university student.

Have successfully completed at least one semester at a post-secondary institution.

Must be sufficiently proficient in English.

Have a pre-arranged job (we will help identify a suitable employment opportunity)

Able to commit to a 3 to 4-month stay in the U.S. on the program.

Possess a passport that is valid at least six months past your program end date.

Possess at least $1,000 on arrival to support your stay in the U.S.

APPLY - To determine program eligibility, an international student is required to complete the application form. The international student will be notified by the program advisor about program eligibility.

SELECT - After acceptance to the program, employment opportunities will be offered that match participant’s
interest.

INTERVIEW - The participant will have an opportunity to meet with the host employer and learn more about each other through either an interview in person or via video teleconference.

CONFIRM – After a successful interview, the participant’s placement will be confirmed and an acceptance letter sent to the participant for confirmation. Assistance with visa paperwork and arrival details will be provided. The program advisor or overseas partner will conduct the pre-departure orientation to prepare program participants for the incredible work opportunity ahead.

GO – With a US visa in hand, your new life’s journey will begin!

Guaranteed Placement – All participants are guaranteed to have one job offer with a minimum of 32 hours per week. All jobs are entry-level jobs with seasonal industries.

DS 2019 Form – It will be issued based on the job offer.

Virtual Orientation – All participants will be provided with information about their program, so they know what to expect.

Medical Insurance Coverage –We provide medical insurance coverage for the duration of your program.

Program Requirements Guidance - Guidance on visa requirements, program rules, and regulations to ensure participants’ compliance while on the program.

Emergency Support – GX team is available 24/7 to provide support to program participants.
